About the program Work and Travel USA Share

Work and Travel USA is the most popular cultural exchange program, created and administered by the U.S. Department of State. The WAT program enables university and college students from around the world, who are full time students and not older than 28 years, to spend an amazing summer working and travelling in the United States. The main objective of the program is to gather new knowledge, to meet as many Americans as possible and to make new friendships. Thousands of young people from different countries participate in the program each year.

Applicants should understand that the program's stipend or wages might not cover all of the program expenses, and applicants should bring additional personal funds to cover living expenses.

Work and Travel USA general review:

  • Provides the unique opportunity to explore a different culture
  • Provides the opportunity to work for a period of 4 months during your summer vacation (in the period from May 1st to September 30th depending on the University curriculum) in the sphere of tourism - hotels, restaurants, amusement parks, stores, etc.
  • Allows travel period of one month after the 4th month
